Pigeons on a balcony
Tired of sharing your home with pigeons? Sick of the mess made by roosting feral pigeons? Here at Henley Pest Control we have just installed netting and cleaned up a balcony in Maidenhead town centre, old pigeon nests removed along with several dead birds and piles of guano giving the owner their outdoor space back.
The latest work from Henley Pest Control.
At this flat in Maidenhead the tenants had moved in after a short delay and in that period the pigeons had beaten them to the balcony; nesting sites are a premium for pigeons right across the area and any quiet space will quickly be used and nests built.
At this flat there were two balconies on either aside of the building which meant that during the summer you either had a sunny one to sit on or a shady one to laze the day away on.
Having the two balconies meant that you could have a lovely flow of cool air through the flat as one balcony was on the master bedroom and the other on the lounge - perfect for those hot summer nights.
Pigeons will move into an empty space very quickly and as they live within a flock you will find that several nests are started with a sizable population of birds in residence.
Here we installed translucent net's to physically barrier the balconies off from the birds and as the net fibre is clear you forget its there.
We produced a clean and safe pigeon free environment.

The finished balcony: all scrubbed and vacuumed to ensure no solid fecal matter is left behind. All the redundant nesting material, feathers and guano is removed as well.
The balconies were washed down with biocide to kill any viruses or bacteria left over from the birds.
We installed the net outside of the handrail so if you can rest your upper body on the railing as the net is away and we created as much space as possible.
We carryout bird cleaning services for both domestic and commercial customers throughout the Henley area and all over Berkshire: we aim to get you pest free in a clean and safe environment and to give you back your outdoor space.
We carryout all manner of bird control works:
installing spiking and netting are just a small part of the work we carryout. Another large part of our bird control work involves the installation of anti-roost measures beneath photo voltaic panels (PV Panels) on domestic properties.
